When my spouse was training for ordained ministry, she did an extended intensive placement at St. Peter’s, an Anglican parish in the centre of Harrogate, a spa town in Yorkshire. Travelling through the county in June we called in, to find good signs of flourishing and healthy diversity. Note the five services in different styles each Sunday, apart from healing services, Bible studies, and spiritual reading over meals through the week, and manifold groups for young people. Note also the photo of four different translations/versions of the Bible all found in just one pew—another indication of commitment to difference.
This is an “animal friendly church” whose motto is “feeding hungry people.”
